Probably the best known of the Algarve's confectionery, the delicious and lovely Doçe Fino (Fine Sweets) of the Algarve!

The Doçe Fino are made of almond paste and sugar (also known as marzipan / massapão / marzipan), with a filling of egg yarn and shaped into mouth-watering sweets of fruit, small animals or colourful objects. A real art to be learned from the expert hands of a local lady who has been creating these delicacies for 30 years and has received national recognition.
